A famous guest at our hotel in Renon
Our tradition-steeped hotel in Renon has and had numerous illustrious guests. The most prominent personality at our accommodation near Bozen was Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis. He visited our hotel with his family for many years, and it was here that he wrote his work "Totem and Taboo" in summer 1911. He also celebrated his silver wedding in September of the same year on our veranda, today "Sigmund Freud Stube". Staying at our hotel in Renon, he also exchanged letters with his colleague Carl Gustav Jung to whom he wrote a postcard saying: "...Here at Renon we stay divinely well and it is a beautiful place. I have found an inexhaustible pleasure in doing nothing..." Today, a memorial plaque still reminds the onlookers of this famous guest at our hotel in Renon. Moreover, a psychoanalysis congress is held every year in Collalbo to commemorate Sigmund Freud.
