In front of the hotel turn to the left and follow the trail no. 20 red around the Fennberg until arriving to Lengmoos.

Easy walk
Walking time ca. 45 min

In front of the church turn to the right and go up, then cross the town until arriving to the Hotel Schönblick. Along the wood you follow the promenade no. 35 red until Oberbozen. Passing the shop Marlen you can go on until arriving to Maria Himmelfahrt, the ancient summer resort of Bolzano. The comfortable Rittner Bahn (railway), which starts at Oberbozen every hour, will bring you back to Klobenstein.

In front of the hotel turn to the right and cross the town until arriving to the hotel Gasthof Rittner Stube. Follow the trail no. 1 red until Kematen, from there follow the trail no. 28 red until Riggermooshof and then go along trail no.17 until Riggermoos. On the trail no. 5 red you arrive to the Hotel Südtiroler Hof, wherefrom the walk no. 35 red will bring you back to Klobenstein.

Starting from the train station atOberbozen going along the circular walking route no. 23 red you can discover nine sights of Renon, as the historical Rittner Bahndl (ancient railway) or the earth pyramids from Oberbozen.

Start from Pemmern with the cable car to the Schwarzseespitze (2.070 m) and go along the promenade no. 19 red until arriving to the inn Gasthaus Unterhorn. There follow the trail no. 4 red, which brings you to the Schön, wherefrom you can go back to Pemmern walking along the trail no.1 red.

From Klobenstein go along the earth pyramids to Maria Saal  trail no. 24 red, wherefrom you can continue on trail no. 8 red to the Hexenbödele (place where the witches danced according to the legend) and afterwards continue on trail no. 9 red to Lengstein. Now you can drive back to Klobenstein with the bus.
An eventual prolongation of the tour is to walk from Lengstein to Klobenstein: from the farmyard Franknerhof through the Katzenbachschlucht across the Joggumhof and the Rielinger.

Medium heavy hiking tour; the prolongation is more exhausting and in part difficult

From Klobenstein walk along trail no. 35 red until Oberbozen. There turn to the right at the shop Marlen in direction of the artisan area, until arriving to the path mark no.16 red, which leads to the Lobishof. On trail no.16 red you can go on until Riggermoos, there cross the main road and continue on trail no. 6 red until arriving to the Tann. Passing the inn on the trail no. 8 red you come to Bad Süß. Through the garden of the inn you come to the trail no. 24 red, which brings you to Maria Saal. There cross the main road and take the trail no. 24 red passing the earth pyramids back to Klobenstein.

From Pemmern walk along the Roßwagen trail no.7 red, wherefrom you take the trail no. 4 red and 4 a red crossing the Oberinner Wiesen (lawns)and go toOberinn. There cross the town until arriving to the inn Gasthaus Bachmann. From there on the trail Schelmensteig (no. 32 red) to the Lobishof. Taking the trail no. 18 red you come to the trail no. 35 red, which brings you to Klobenstein.

From Klobenstein go along the trail no. 15 red to Wolfsgrubenuntil arriving to theWolfsgrubner lake. Passing the Hotel am See take the trail no. 12 red to Unterinn, there cross the road and go down the narrow track to the hiking path. Arrived there turn to the left in direction of the farms Huberhöfe, passing the Unterinner earth pyramids and the farmyards Höfe Blümler and Tasegger, now you come to the tavern Buschenschank Rielinger. From there go along the trail no. 11 red back to Klobenstein.  

Medium heavy hiking tour, not recommendable when it’s too hot

Go along the Freud- promenade no. 35 red to Oberbozen and continue to Maria Himmelfahrt, wherefrom you can take the trail no. 2 red and the trail Nesselbrunnsteig for arriving to St. Peter. Starting from the inn Gasthaus Peter Ploner go along the Oswaldpromenade to the inn Gasthof Eberle at St. Magdalena and afterwards to the Rittner Seilbahn (railway), which then brings you back to Klobenstein.

Hiking tour with a big altitude difference (ca. 1000 meters); recommendable only for strong- knees hiker

This learning path brings you along the classic chestnuts altitudes from the castle Schloss Runkelstein, the castle Bilderburg near Bolzano, until Vahrn near Bressanone; a part of the trail passes also at Ritten:
We start our Chestnut- walk at the inn Gasthof Peter Ploner over Bolzano and along the gorge Signater Schlucht, the Patscheider and the farmyard Patschuner Hof and the trail Signater Kirchsteig until Unterinn. The walk continues passing the Rielinger, Joggum and the Frankner until Lengstein, where we come to the end of the chestnut- walk at the farm Zunerhof.

Hiking tour, which is particularly attractive in autumn, when the chestnuts are mature and when the inns along the way offer chestnuts specialities around the clock.

Starting from the train station at Oberbozen pass the Hotel Latemar until the inn Geyrerhof, there go along the trail no. 6 A red and no. 6 red crossing Riggermoos until Tann. There follow the trail no. 27 red, during the walk take the trail Hirtensteig 1A red and later the trail no. 9A red to the inn Gasthaus Unterhorn.

From Riggermoos the route goes always upwards.

At the inn Rittner Stube take the trail no.1 red, which brings you to the Tann. There take the trail no. 1A red to the hut Saltner Hütte and then the trail 9A red to the hut Unterhornhaus. Arrived there take the trail no. 15 red in direction of the farm Feldthunerhof, afterwards take the trail no. 3 red to the farm Kaserhof wherefrom you take the trail no.3A red passing the hut Gasserhüttl back again to the Unterhornhaus and to the Schwarzseespitze, wherefrom the cable car brings you back to Pemmern.

Hard hiking tour with big ascents
Walking time ca. 6,5 hours

A part of the European long- distancepath E10 leads over the Rittner Plateau;  on the Rittner Horn you can get into a stage of this path: take the cable car for arriving to the Schwarzseespitze and then go on passing the Unterhornhaus, until arriving to the Oberen Rittner Horn (the higher part of the Rittner Horn). Wherefrom you can take the trails no. 1,3 and 7 red to the Gasteiger Sattel. From there a hiking path brings you to the old chapel Toten Kirchl and finally to the lakeToten See. This is the final point of your hiking tour and you can go back on the same trail to Pemmern.

A very long hiking tour with a small difference in altitude, you always walk on pastures. Only the tour to the higher part of the Rittner Horn has an ascent. Take with you enough food, because after the hut Oberes Hornhaus there is no other rest stop.

If you go along the trail no.1 red until the Tann, then along the forest road until arriving to the forest house Forsthaus and then continuing on the trail no. 27 red you arrive to the path  Rampoldsteig (red). This trail will lead you over the Saubacher Schritzenholz to the Rittner Schritzenholz. There take the trail no. 34 red until Maria Saal, wherefrom you can take the trail no. 24 red back to Klobenstein.
