Our new Poststube

Bar, café & snacks

Enjoy a cappuccino with a slice of fresh apple strudel, a glass of fine wine or a lovingly prepared lunch in our newly designed “Platzl” bar with its beautiful panoramic sun terrace, as well as its reading room in original Biedermeier style with views of the village and the peaks of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

The bar named Poststube, which is popular both with locals and guests, is housed in an annex to the Hotel Bemelmans-Post and was built around 1900. Since then it has been re-designed several times, most recently just a few years ago, resulting in a modern and stylish bar with a traditional touch where young and old alike can meet for a coffee or an aperitif.
For lunch we serve a selection of typical South Tyrolean dishes.

You can enjoy homemade cakes, colourful sundaes or small snacks (bruschetta, toast) all day long.

From 1968, when the Senn family took over the Hotel Bemelmans-Post, Gregor Senn ran the famed “Poststube”, the bar housed in an extension to the Bemelmans-Post. Gregor Senn sadly died of cancer in October 2011, but the Poststube continues in his spirit – now with some modern and innovative accents.
